Ans:- The poet said, “I would not intrude on him” which means the poet does want to interrupt from getting an important lesson related to loss which is an unavoidable part of life. In this poem, Boy loses a ball affects him and leads to unhappiness. He doesn’t offer him money to buy another ball because money cannot buy everything. Attachment with those things is irreplaceable.
2. Do you think the boy has had the ball for a long time? Is it linked to the memories of days when he played with it?
Ans:- Yes, Boy has had the ball for a long time it was used as a symbolization of his Youthful period which was filled with happiness and innocence. Once this period is gone, you cannot get it back. It is linked with memories of days that had childlike flashbacks. He can purchase a new ball but cannot replace a precious memory bank.

Ans:- “In the world of possessions” means a world of money-oriented things. These things everybody wants to own are in the form of assets. Frequently, people tend to get attached to things. Ans:- Yes, I have lost a pen that I liked very much. It helped me write smoothly on paper. I used that pen to write notes and exams. When I lost it I felt very sad. Memories of writing exams and notes were linked with that pen. Even after searching places where it could be found, I didn’t get it back. Someone explained to me that it was fine you lost the pen but it’s advised to be careful and keep an eye on things.
