बेटा: हेलो पापा! आप कैसे हैं?
Son: Hello, dad! How are you?
पिता: मैं ठीक हूँ बेटा, तुम कैसी हो? आज तुम स्कूल से देर से आये क्यों?
Father: I am fine beta, how are you? You came late from school today why?
बेटा: मैं भी ठीक हूं. हाँ पापा, हमारी परीक्षाएँ होने वाली हैं इसलिए अतिरिक्त कक्षाएँ थीं। कब आये आप?
Son: I am fine too. Yes, Dad, our exams are going to be held so extra classes were there. When did you come?
पिता: जब तुम स्कूल में थे तब मैं आया था।
Father: I came when you were in school.
बेटा: पापा आपकी ऑफिस मीटिंग कैसी रही?
Son: How was your office meeting Dad?
पिता: बहुत बढ़िया और तुम्हें पता है क्या? मुझे उन्नति मिली।
Father: Fantastic and you know what? I got promoted.
बेटा: ओह!! बधाई हो पिताजी. अब आप मेरी पॉकेट मनी भी बढ़ा सकते हैं ना!!
Son: Ohh!! Congratulations dad. Now you can increase my pocket money also na!!
पिता: हाँ मैं कर सकता हूँ लेकिन मैं नहीं करूँगा। क्योंकि आप बहुत सारा समय बाहर बिताते हैं और इधर-उधर घूमते रहते हैं।
Father: Yes I can but I won’t. Because you spend a lot of time outside and just hang out here and there.
बेटा: लेकिन क्यों?

पिता: क्योंकि आप अपनी पढ़ाई पर ध्यान नहीं दे रहे हैं और यह आपका बोर्ड वर्ष है, आपको याद है न?
Father: Because You aren’t focusing on your studies and this is your board year you remember right?
बेटा: हाँ मुझे पता है। लेकिन पिताजी, मैं ध्यान देना शुरू कर दूँगा ना!!
Son: Yes I know. But Dad, I’ll start focusing na!!

पिता: बेटा, मैं तभी बढ़ाऊंगा जब तुम आने वाली परीक्षाओं में प्रथम श्रेणी लाओगे। और अगर तुमने अच्छा स्कोर किया तो मैं तुम्हारी पॉकेट मनी बढ़ा दूंगा।
Father: Beta, I’ll increase only if you get first division on the coming exams. And if you score well I’ll increase your pocket money.
बेटा: ठीक है पिताजी, मैं कड़ी मेहनत करूंगा और प्रथम श्रेणी लाने के लिए अपना सर्वश्रेष्ठ दूंगा।
Son: OK Dad I’ll work hard and will give my best to get first division.
पिता: अच्छा बेटा! अंकों के लिए नहीं ज्ञान के लिए अध्ययन करें।
Father: Good beta. Study for the knowledge not for marks.
बेटा: ठीक है पिताजी, लेकिन क्या होगा अगर मुझे ज्ञान मिल जाए और मैं उच्च अंक न ला सकूं?
Son: OK Dad, but what if I get knowledge and can’t score high?
पिता: यदि तुम ज्ञान प्राप्त करोगे तो यह स्पष्ट है कि तुम आसानी से उच्च अंक प्राप्त कर सकते हो।
Father: If you gain knowledge then it is so obvious you can score high easily.
बेटा: ओह हाँ पिताजी. अब मैं उज्जवल भविष्य बनाने के लिए अपनी पढ़ाई पर अधिक ध्यान केंद्रित करूंगी।
Son: Oh Yes Dad. Now I’ll focus and concentrate more on my studies to make a bright future.
पिता: मुझे तुम्हारी भावना पसंद आई, बेटा।
Father: I liked your spirit, beta.
बेटा: धन्यवाद. आप क्या सोचते हैं पिताजी, मैं क्या बनूँगा या मेरा भविष्य क्या है?
Son:Thanks. What do you think dad, what will I become or what is my future?
पिता: बेटा, यह तुम्हारी पसंद होनी चाहिए।
Father: Beta, it should be your choice.
बेटा: इसका क्या मतलब है पिताजी?
Son: What does it mean, Dad?
पिता: मेरा मतलब है, आपको किस चीज़ में रुचि है, आपको किस काम में आनंद आता है या किस काम में अच्छा भविष्य है?
Father: I mean, What do you get interested in, what work do you enjoy or what work has a good future?
बेटा: ओह! हाँ।
Son: Oh! Yes.
पिता: आपका पहला कदम यह होगा कि आप 11वीं कक्षा में कौन सा विषय चुनेंगे। सही?
Father: Your first step will be what subject you will choose in your 11th grade. Right?
पिता: आपको झुंड की मानसिकता का पालन नहीं करना चाहिए तुम्हें जो करना है करो।
Father: You should not follow the herd mentality, do what you want.
बेटा: हाँ पिताजी, मैं आपकी बताई गई सभी बातों का ध्यान रखूँगा। धन्यवाद पिताजी, मेरा मार्गदर्शन करने के लिए।
Son: Yes Dad, I will take care of all the things you mentioned. Thanks, Dad, for guiding me.
